The card sorting process:

The card sorting process was adapted from a model for participatory design developed by an IBM web designer and human factors engineer (Fuccell and Pizzolato, IBM 1999/www-4.ibm.com/software/developer/…ary/design-by-feedback/expectations.html). Once the "objects" or elements of a sight, or in our case the game, are established they are put on cards. Each card represents one "object" or element.
