what is re:gossip
re:gossip is a game and research project that is currently testing and developing in web, I-Mode and WAP environments. It explores gossip as a builder and expression of community and social networks. re:gossip is an opportunity for analysis of these social spaces and of the structures between the people in them. One focus of the research is to see when and how narrative and game play emerges into these non-physical communities.

The Game
re:gossip is a game of communication, storytelling, and competitive gossiping. The objective of the game is to exchange gossip with as many people as possible. The more players you exchange gossip with the higher your score. The longer a chain of gossip (one that has been passed on and on) the more points the players involved will accumulate.

A Scenario
You have been invited to join a game of "re:gossip" by someone you know. This person is the "host" of the game you've been asked to participate in. The host has chosen people who he or she thinks are great storytellers who will make the game interesting and fun with their gossip.
