The paper "reGossip:
Gossip and Multi-User Narratives" has been accepted for publication
in the proceedings of cast01,
the conference discussing intersections of artistic, cultural, technological
and scientific issues of: Living in Mixed Realities, and for presentation
during the conference at Birlinghoven castlein Bonn Germany from 21 to 22
September 2001.
The latest prototype of the re:gossip
game was successfully presented at Interact
2001 in Tokyo Japan. July 9-13th, 2001
The first round of Participatory Design
based user interface testing took place in May and June 2001. A small focus
group at the Technical University of British Columbia used the "card sorting"
method to explore intuitive game and interface design. From these sessions
a new game prototype was developed and numerous elements of the game were
refined. Thanks to everyone who participated!
Following the
CHI conference in Seattle, where team members Kristina Andersen, Ron
Wakkary, and Jussi Holopainen gave talks on their own research, the re:gossip
team met in Vancouver, B.C. for a series of meetings on the future direction
of the re:gossip project.
The first prototype for the re:gossip
game was presented November 2000in Amsterdam at the e-culture fair,Doors
of Perception. Thanks to everyone who participated!
On 25-27 September 2000, the re:gossip
team presented at The Second International Symposium on Handheld and Ubiquitous
Computing (HUC2K) hosted by Hewlett Packard Research Laboratories, Europe
(Bristol, UK).
On the 20th of December 1999, the paper
"re:gossip - a social network of truth and lies " was presented at "COMPUTERS
AND FUN 2", (University of York) and then published in an Issue of the "International
Journal of Human Computer Interaction."
